We are launching two BRAND NEW projects here at Brixton Finishing School this summer. We recognise that Covid-19 will have a dramatic impact on the futures of young people in the UK. Internships and work experience opportunities have been put on hold across the country and entry-level roles have mostly evaporated.
Our mission has always been to break down barriers and give young people from working class, multicultural and neurodiverse backgrounds a fairer chance to succeed. At the same time, we challenge companies to see the real value a diverse and inclusive workforce brings to the table. None of this has changed. In fact it’s only made us even more determined to go faster and push the accelerator on our plans to ensure that everyone has a seat at the table.
That’s why we’ve created TWO nationwide, virtual gateways to Adland and the Creative/Comms Industry, free and open to all.
Virtual Work Experience Week 13th -17th 2020
Interested in discovering the world of advertising, marketing and technology and aged 14 – 19 years old?
This is your chance to learn about the many different roles in Britains’ Creative and Communications Industry and virtually work with some it’s biggest brands.
Brixton Finishing School is an award winning digital skills programme backed by Britain’s media industry. We’ve brought together some of the biggest names in media to create a week of advertising, marketing and ‘how to win in the workplace’ experiences.
You will gain insight into how advertising works, all the roles and responsibilities that go into creating a successful campaign, how to come up with compelling creative solutions and how to use data effectively to make sure your adverts reach the right audience.
You will also spend time with professional skills experts who will give you tips on how to win your dream role and thrive in the workplace.
